Receiving an HTTP 500 error when running a script

To receive more useful information when receiving a HTTP 500 error from a script, try disabling Friendly HTTP error messages in Internet Explorer:

1) From the Tools menu, select Internet Options.

2) Select the Advanced tab at the top.

3) Under Browsing, clear the box next to "Show friendly HTTP error messages" and click OK.

You will now receive the actual error message returned from the script.
