Domain expiration/renewal process

When a domain expires, the following occurs:

1) If the current date is in still within 40 days of the expiration date, this is considered by Creative Brain as the Grace Period. During the grace period, the domain can be renewed at the normal renewal price.

2) If the domain has gone past the grace period, it then enters a 30 day Redemption Period. During the redemption period, the domain may still be renewed by the customer. However, this must be requested from Universal Systems via email or telephone. An $80 fee plus the 1 year renewal price is required to re-activate the domain. During the renewal process, a confirmation email will be sent to the administrative email contact. If the admin contact email is no longer valid, the renewal can be processed by fax.

3) If the domain has completed the redemption period without any renewal action taken, it enters a 1 to 5 day Pending Deletion Period. After this period, the domain will be deleted and made available to the public.
